How to use the Date Difference Calculator

- Tick “Include the end date” if both days should count, as when counting nights versus days.

Calendar days and working days
Calendar days count every day, including weekends. Working days count only Monday to Friday, which is how most deadlines, delivery times and notice periods are measured. Public holidays differ by country and region, so they are not subtracted — take off any holidays that apply to you from the working-day total.
Including or excluding the end date
From 1 June to 2 June is one day apart — but if you count both days it is two. Use “Include the end date” for things like a hotel booking counted in days, a leave request or a challenge where the last day also counts.

How do I calculate the days between two dates?
Enter both dates and press Calculate. The total number of days appears immediately, along with weeks, months, years and working days.
Does the calculator count working days?
Yes. It counts Monday to Friday between the two dates. Public holidays are not removed because they vary by country.
Is the end date included?
Not by default. Tick “Include the end date” to count both the first and the last day.
What if the end date is before the start date?
The calculator shows the difference anyway and labels the dates as reversed. You can also press Swap.
Are my dates saved?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is stored.
